Simple Web technologies

What is SEO? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization (Search Engine Optimization). It describes a number of techniques that allow you to get your site better ranked on search engines. The goal of SEO is to rank the website as close as possible to the top of the search results on a search engine, which ultimately increases the number of visitors. This is especially important for web shops whose monthly turnover depends a lot on the number of visitors. There are two basic categories of SEO: OnPage optimization and OffPage optimization. Within the START package Simple Web technologies offers OnPage optimization, which includes the following:

  • creation of meta tags,
  • inserting tags for images in the content (alt, title),
  • optimization of titles and subtitles (H1-H6),
  • create a robots.txt file, if necessary,
  • creation, registration and renewal of sitemap.xml,
  • repairing the internal link structure

Website ranking and relevance

The ranking and relevance of websites is based on 200 factors. Some of the most important factors are the following:
Links: PageRank is an algorithm developed by the owner of Google, Larry Page. The algorithm calculates the number of relevant links pointing to your site. The more these links there are, the better your site will rank.
Keywords: Put in meta tags they describe your website. Google checks the frequency of these keywords in links, titles, tags, and the entire contents of your site and compares your website with others.
Fresh content: Regularly updating content or adding new pages indicate that your site is actively maintained and has a positive impact on the ranking.
These are the most important factors that influence the ranking of your site on a search engine, however there are many more which we cannot list here.
